The Situation
A highly de-centralized, multi-line financial services firm needed to meet strict deadlines in preparation for enactment of the US Patriot Act.

The Challenge
Corporate and Business units disagreed on how to address various technology and business needs.

The Objective
Business Intelligence Solutions (BIS) was engaged to assess current business processes and technology resources in light of new regulatory requirements, to identify technology vendors, design and lead the selection process, perform due diligence, and select a vendor.

Resolution
BIS worked with the firm to build a focused, collaborative and consistent enterprise-wide approach that successfully addressed all regulatory, financial, and business issues by the targeted start-up date. BIS also led the selection of a technology provider to enhance and develop an internally-built AML monitoring system. (see this case study)
